Christmas 2023
An exciting and busy period leading up to and including Christmas - please join us for any of the events you are able to.
Our Christmas tree is out and the stable is ready

Our Christmas Tree Festival is for anyone or a group from the village to decorate and display a tree within the Church for all to see on the following dates:-
Thursday 14th 4-7:30pm Open for delivery of trees
Friday 15th 11:00-1:00 Coffee morning & tree viewing
Saturday 16th 11:00-1:00 Outdoor Carol singing, coffee and tree viewing
2:00-4:00 Open for tree viewing
Sunday 17th 4pm Carol Service, candles & conifers followed by refreshments
Monday 18th 11:00-1:00 Open for coffee & tree viewing
Wednesday 20th 7pm Village Voices Christmas Concert
Sunday 24th 10:30 Christmas Eve morning service
Monday 25th 10:30 Christmas Morning short service

Christmas 2022
Our Christmas tree is lit, the Nativity scene is portrayed under the archway and our services are booked.
A couple of extra events this year:
- A Christmas lunch in the Phelips at 12:30 on 7th December
- A display of Nativity Sets in the Chapel - combined with Coffee Mornings at 11am on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th December
- A Christmas Concert by the Montacute Village Voices on Wednesday 14th December at 7:30
Christmas 2021
We have started to prepare for our Christmas celebrations - the Christmas tree will soon be lit outside the Church together, this year, with a Nativity Scene under the outside stairs.
As we enter the season of Advent we have morning services on 5th December "Advent praise and communion" and on 12th "The Christmas story". For those who have booked we have a Christmas lunch at the Phelips Arms on 9th December.
On 19th December we have a special service of "Carols by candlelight" at 4pm.
On Christmas day we will have a short service at 10:30 to celebrate Christ's birth into the world. You are most welcome to join us for this or any of our services.
Christmas 2020
It will be a difficult build up to Christmas this year but we will do our best to celebrate the birth of Christ! The outside of the Church will have lights and a Christmas tree, we will explore the season of Advent with several services and meet for a short service on Christmas morning. You are most welcome to join us.
Christmas 2019
A challenge: Each evening in December, why not read one chapter of Luke’s Gospel from the Bible? It has 24 chapters so by Christmas Eve you will have read all about Jesus, and on Christmas Day you will remember who and why we celebrate!!

An advent event: mixing up Christmas puddings together - with fun and refreshments, a Christmas Quiz, a poetic presentation of the Christmas Story and a carol or two to finish.

Sunday 22nd December 6:30: Carols by candelight
Ecumenical service of lessons and carols in the Baptist Church, all very welcome to join us.
